Elevation Dancentre was created
by longtime friends and dance partners, Hellen Pavlis and
Joseph Grzeskiewicz. Both having many years in the
competitive and professional world of dance, they have grown
up in studios and understood what changes had to be made in
order to make a difference in the studio circuit. Their
vision was to create a space for dancers to feel like they
have finally arrived. The studio was designed with a fusion
of Urban boutique meets Contemporary tradition in mind.
At a great location (just steps from downtown and minutes
from the subway), many professionals and dancers in training
have scaled the steps up to Elevation and have experienced
the charm. Having only been open since September 2006,
Elevation Dancentre has already become the discussion as
the place to be for dancer development and taking in classes
from Toronto’s top talent.
Since September, Elevation has welcomed international and
homegrown top dancers/choreographers, (Kumari NY, Lenny
DeLaPena San Francisco’s Bay Area, David Cox from St.
Catharines) Elevation Dancentre can also be seen on
up-coming shows on the Life Network and has been used for
rehearsal space for many dance troupes and company’s such as
KOBA Family and Miss Canada Globe Productions.
Elevation Dancentre is also the home to The Elevation
Group. An entertainment company which specializes in
providing; concept creation, choreography, artistic
direction for all types of media, corporate and theatre
entertainment.
